Gilda nació y creció en Sinaloa, México — una tierra de playas hermosas, comida vibrante y gente alegre, pero también marcada por la inestabilidad. El arte llegó por herencia: su madre y su abuela paterna fueron pintoras. Lo que comenzó pintando para su propia casa pronto se convirtió en exposiciones, y de las exposiciones surgió una carrera internacional. Gilda was born and raised in Sinaloa, Mexico — a state of beautiful beaches, vibrant food, and joyful people, but one also marked by instability and hardship. Art arrived as inheritance: her mother and her paternal grandmother were both painters. What began as painting for her own home soon turned into exhibitions, and out of those exhibitions grew an international career.
Su voz — multicultural, emocional, sincera — busca traducir lo más humano: la fe, la fortaleza, la ternura, la grandeza interior. Her voice — multicultural, emotional, candid — seeks to translate what is most human: faith, strength, tenderness, and inner greatness. She works in oil and acrylic, and more recently in monumental sculpture and Murano crystal.
