El Rey del Poder nace como un recordatorio de que todos llevamos una corona invisible: la representación de la fuerza que se construye desde el amor propio, la disciplina y la fe en uno mismo.The King of Power was born as a reminder that we all carry an invisible crown — the representation of strength built through self-love, discipline, and faith in oneself.

Gilda GarzaEs la primera escultura de gran formato de Gilda Garza, y el punto donde su lenguaje pictórico —construido durante años alrededor de figuras de poder, emoción y espiritualidad— abandona el lienzo para ocupar el espacio público.It is Gilda Garza’s first large-format sculpture, and the point at which her painterly language — built over years around figures of power, emotion, and spirituality — leaves the canvas to occupy public space.

Las figuras de Gilda Garza nacen de la baraja española: reyes y reinas que, en sus manos, dejan de ser cartas para convertirse en arquetipos de fuerza, amor y luz.Gilda Garza’s figures come from the Spanish deck of cards: kings and queens that, in her hands, stop being cards and become archetypes of strength, love, and light.

Gilda GarzaLa artista llama a sus esculturas templos de energía: no objetos decorativos, sino recipientes de intención. La premisa de toda la serie es una sola —el verdadero poder no está afuera, sino dentro de cada persona— y el Rey la encarna como fuerza que protege en lugar de dominar.The artist calls her sculptures temples of energy: not decorative objects, but vessels of intention. One premise runs through the entire series — true power is not outside, but within each person — and the King embodies it as strength that protects rather than dominates.

El Rey del Poder no tiene un hogar fijo. Fue concebido para viajar: de Guadalajara al resto de México, y de ahí al mundo.The King of Power has no fixed home. It was conceived to travel: from Guadalajara across Mexico, and from there into the world.

La premisa de Gilda Garza es sacar el arte de los muros elitistas y llevarlo a la calle: que nadie tenga que cruzar la puerta de un museo, ni comprar una obra, para sentirla.Gilda Garza’s premise is to take art off elitist walls and into the street: that no one should have to walk through a museum door, or buy a work, in order to feel it.
